To ensurefull traceability, all sleepers bear standardised markings. These include the relevant factory mark (e.g. ‘LMB Biebesheim’, ‘LML Laußig’, ‘LMH Hannover’, ‘G Güsen’ and ‘N Neuss’), the year of manufacture, the rail foot width, the relevant grade designation and a date stamp on the sleeper head. This coding forms the basis for our quality monitoring and reliably fulfils our customers’ documentation requirements.

Railway sleepers are among the concrete elements subjected to the highest dynamic loads in the world.

With five sites, Moll Rail Germany has an annual production capacity of around 1.5 million prestressed concrete sleepers – manufactured in accordance with a fully certified quality management system compliant with DIN ISO 9001. Each sleeper is produced in accordance with Deutsche Bahn’s technical delivery specifications (DBS 918143) and the DIN EN 13230 series of standards – the authoritative standards for track and point sleepers in ballast track and slab track construction. Rigorous testing procedures throughout the entire production process ensure that our high quality standards are met.
