From our headquarters in Munich, we manage one of the industry’s most efficient production networks, comprising five sites in Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia.

Biebesheim: a new dimension in automation

Our Biebesheim site near Frankfurt am Main, we have been operating one of Europe’s most modern sleeper production facilities since the plant was newly built in 2018. Across a site area of 60,000 square metres, we manufacture up to 500,000 prestressed concrete sleepers per year using highly automated processes.

The facility serves as a blueprint for future-proof production sites and enables us to deliver high volumes of reliable quality at competitive terms, even in tight markets. Around 60 employees on site ensure maximum efficiency and the highest level of delivery reliability.

In this way, we make a sustainable contribution to securing the future of the rail networks – whilst at the same time strengthening Germany as an industrial location.

Laußig: Setting the course for success

Success begins with the courage to take new directions. At our Laußig site in North Saxony, we made the strategic decision to invest in the demanding market of turnout sleepers as early as 1999. Thanks to the largely automated production of these high-precision components, we have since delivered more than two million linear metres of turnout sleepers.

In addition to standard sleepers for Deutsche Bahn AG, our Laußig facility also manufactures bespoke special sleepers for numerous local and regional rail operators across Europe.

Hanover: Major infrastructure projects in the north

Our plant in Hanover, the capital of Lower Saxony, which began production in 2004, we manufacture, amongst other things, soiled prestressed concrete sleepers for major infrastructure projects in northern Germany.

In 2025 and 2026, for example, we will be supplying sleepers from Moll Rail on an ongoing basis for the line renewal between Hamburg and Hanover – reliably, on time and to our proven high standards.

Neuss: excellent transport links and a wealth of experience

The Neuss site is characterised by its excellent infrastructure and its central location in the Rhineland. Its proximity to Düsseldorf, the region’s high quality of life and good transport links make Neuss an attractive location – including for commuters.

Thanks to this central location, the Neuss plant is a key supplier of sleepers to Deutsche Bahn AG and has been producing sleepers since 1949. Furthermore, in 2024/25, we supplied around 70,000 sleepers from this site for a major infrastructure project in Ireland.

Güsen: a large area and a central location

The plant in Saxony-Anhalt, situated in the immediate vicinity of Magdeburg, is characterised, amongst other things, by its very large site area and correspondingly high production capacity. Prestressed concrete track and switch sleepers have been produced here since 1958.

Benefiting from excellent transport links and Güsens’ central location, Moll Rail Germany has grown from this site to become one of the leading suppliers of railway sleepers in eastern Germany.
